During 2001 the Kapunda Golf Club, with the assistance of its sponsors and the Light Regional Council, commenced the re-development process of the Kapunda Golf Course.

This would see the installation of an extensive irrigation system and the construction of turf greens. Hundreds of voluntary hours would be spent creating the new course layout.

And now nearly five years on, this picturesque nine hole layout is available for you to enjoy.

Variety and interest is assured with eighteen different tee-blocks placed in strategic positions. Treelined fairways ensure careful club selection and water hazards provide that extra challenge for the faint hearted. Each hole culminating with the excellent putting surface.

Green fees are at very competitive rates and group discounts are available.

History
The Kapunda Golf Club was established some 85 years ago on a course situated on Bethel Road. In later years it was moved to Allendale, where it operated from two separate courses over the following years.

In 1965 Kapunda District Council acquired our present site, as a bare agricultural paddock from ’S Kidman & Co’. During 1966 the Golf Club, whilst still playing at Allendale, designed and constructed fairways, put in scrapes, built the first clubhouse (iron shed) and began the planting of hundreds of native trees.

In 1967 the Golf Club relocated to the new “Kidman Links”, gradually developing into the beautiful park like course that exists today. In 1977 the Golf Club took out a loan through the Kapunda District Council for the construction of a modern brick clubhouse.
